Non-Vocational Enrollment Contract

Student Responsibilities

Instructor-Led students are expected to inform their instructors or Kompass staff if they know they will have to miss a class or an online live session. Some Instructor Led courses have a mandatory requirement for live sessions due to accreditation requirements. Instructors will work with students to the best of their ability to accommodate a missed class, but a student may be required to re-take a particular course if attendance requirements are not sufficiently met. Missing these sessions may affect a student’s ability to complete the course successfully.

Instructor-Supported students are excepted to complete all required assignments and materials by the completion date outlined.

Time must be effectively managed to meet training demands. Any challenges experienced must be shared with the instructor in a timely manner. For an online program, logging into the class is considered attending. All students must pay tuition fees in full as outlined. Students are responsible for the purchase of textbooks as indicated by the college.

Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Cancellation once you start a certificate: If you cancel in writing before you attend the second week, all monies paid except the application fee will be refunded. For an online program, logging into the class is considered attending. If you cancel at any time after the second week of class, you will be responsible for the tuition fees from the start of classes to the date of notice of cancellation.

Cancellation once you start an individual class: If you cancel an individual class prior to the start date all monies will be refunded. If you cancel at any time after the start date of the class, you will be responsible for the tuition fees from the start of classes to the date of notice of cancellation.

Certificate Re-Entry Policy: Students may move a certificate start date once at no additional charge. If the start date is required to be moved additional times, a $200 registration fee will be charged each time.

Individual Class Re-Entry Policy: Students may move a class start date once at no additional charge. If the start date is required to be moved additional times, a $100 registration fee will be charged each time.

Course Material: Course material will be made available to students for 2 weeks after they complete a certificate. Students will have access to their student account for 6 months after completing their course.

Instructor Supported stipulations: You must be paid in full for an Instructor Supported certificate prior to the final two classes in your certificate being released.

Kompass Commitments

Kompass reserves the rights to cancel classes with 48 hours’ notice prior to the start of classes or within the first 7 days after the start date should enrollment become insufficient and all fees paid will then be refunded to the student.

Kompass agrees to provide you with the necessary instruction, learning materials and curricula through the scheduled timeframe. This timeframe has been established as a reasonable amount of time for successful completion.
